About

If you have a passion for Southwick, Massachusetts, or a curiosity for local history, you have come to the right place! The Southwick Time Machine offers a unique opportunity to delve into the captivating history of Southwick—stories often untold in traditional textbooks. With a rich assortment of nonfiction short stories ranging from intriguing true crime tales to engaging biographies to historical curiosities and whimsical tales, the Southwick Time Machine has something for everyone in its diverse collection of nonfiction short stories. Initially started as "From Today's Motorcycle Ride...," a series of social media updates showcasing historic ruins and abandoned structures along the East Coast, it evolved into the Southwick Time Machine, dedicated to the author's cherished hometown. While the primary focus is on Southwick, the narratives occasionally extend to neighboring towns like Granville, Tolland, Westfield, Otis, and Sandisfield - and sometimes they cross the state line into the Connecticut towns of Granby, Suffield, Hartland, and Enfield. The Southwick Time Machine exclusively publishes nonfiction. The author does not engage in creative nonfiction  - names, places, and events are not fictionalized or fabricated. Every story is crafted through diligent research of public records, documents, and firsthand accounts from witnesses or knowledgeable individuals familiar with the history. While every effort is made to ensure accuracy, it cannot be guaranteed. If you spot any inaccuracies or have additional information to contribute, please do not hesitate to reach out.
